Tens of thousands of men, women, and children are diagnosed each year with facial paralysis caused by conditions such as Bell’s Palsy and Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. An estimated 10 million Americans are affected by symptoms related to TMD. Postural dysfunctions can create multiple problems throughout the body. The Center for Facial and Functional Recovery (CFFR) offers a wide range of cutting-edge solutions. Early intervention and a whole-body approach are the keys to recovery.

The CFFR was founded in 2014 by nationally recognized and industry-awarded facial rehabilitation experts Jodi Barth, PT, and Gincy Stezar, PTA. Today, CFFR continues to provide state-of-the-art physical therapy techniques to heal our patients in a positive, nurturing environment.

We bring 40 years of experience and a large toolbox of therapies to benefit our patients. In addition to Jodi and Gincy, our team includes expert therapists Carl Chua, PT, Jennifer Akman, PT, DPT, and our invaluable business operations director Luis Miranda, as well as multi-disciplinary specialists that collaborate on behalf of our patients using breakthrough treatment programs for maximum benefit.

In today’s complicated health care system, it’s a challenge for patients to find effective coordinated care. At CFFR, we believe in creating a team and a recovery plan specific to each and every patient. We recommend and work with highly qualified practitioners in the fields of orthopedics; regenerative medicine; neurosurgery; ophthalmology; ear, nose and throat (ENT); neurology; physiatry; neuro-muscular dentistry; oral surgery; facial plastic surgery/reanimation; psychology; and others.

And last, but certainly not least, with the help of some outstanding supporters, we’ve established The Victor Ibrahim Foundation for Facial Recovery, a nonprofit entity which supports education and research of facial palsy and TMJ disorders.
